August Board Meeting Results

Well it was a Very Very Crowded Board Meeting last evening, and many residents came armed with notepads and had many many questions for Wayne and Board of Directors, 

In all I must say it was one of the better meetings in a while, Not out of hand by any means BUT The residents wanted to be heard and they were.....There was only a couple issues that were negative and have to be addressed first!!
BIG ISSUE...And I say we all agreed with Izzy and he was right!!    YES He was Right,,,,,He stated our Building Maintenance Budget was over by $15,000 and he was not Happy about it!!

Now That I do agree with him...How come last meeting Brian and Janet said they had no complaints about cleaning crew here??

Bottom line is the Cleaning Service is Sub Par and we are over budget ???   This needs to be stopped  ..... Wheres the money going???

1ST OFF...The BACKGROUND CHECK WAS DISMISSED by Board as they did not have the legalities researched..I SENT IT TO THEM BY THE WAY..THINK THEY GOT THE MESSAGE ???


2ND  Residents NO LONGER NEED PROXY ... BOARD SAYS THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND ALL TENANTS CAN NOW SPEAK
Funny how they tried to silence me 2 meetings ago and forced me to present my 4th proxy  in 8 Years and all of a sudden they are not needed ????

ROBERT BURCHMORE on the telephone for the meeting ??.....This was Insulting and Useless

If you do not have the time you said to work on this Board ......YOU SHOULD NOT BE ON IT!

MR BURCHMORE..You are our President and you have not attended the last 4 meetings along with Faye Roberts.. ?? And you dont live here any months ??  Am I the only one seeing this??

This is just more reason why we need to have a majority of Board Members that live on the property.. AND President Must Live Here 8 Months a Year Minimum

Both should save face and resign   PLEASE

The other was the Lady from AAM ..Mary Earnst who wanted to keep the residents from finishing discussing their issues..

SHE WAS PROMPTLY put in her place by a resident!  ....My New Hero,,,,,,Name ??


This Resident had a very valid point as to why should we as owners only have 3 Minutes to express our concerns??   

We should be heard as we are the residents and should not leave meeting still feeling hungry.?.Cmon lets address it and find a solution!


NOW  I must say it was one of the more productive meetings we have had, After the BOARD realized that  20-25 of the 50 people their had legitimate arguments !! And came prepared! 

They do deserve credit for sitting back and letting us air our grievances  and you all did!

The one thing that I had to address was the serious pool issue...Brian started his speech that he had spoken with 3 residents today 

and all said there is never see an issue at the pools...Must have been talking to the Keller Sisters... Helen and Sue ...  Wink

I boldly took the floor and OUR BOARD DID LISTEN , I explained the incidents I had documented and had pictures to prove if needed also..  


 I was surprised that they finally agreed that we at least start with a Key Change here and also to not issue keys to owners who are delinquent on account..This was a great first stride...We had to push pretty hard..

But the Board finally agreed !!...
Short term renters and Michael Blau next!!

So again it shows if we all band together we can get RESULTS


Another was the grass to granite creation and I must also say that Wayne was in good form and did listen very attentively to myself and other residents concerns about muddy pathways and has AGREED TO finally fix the problem.. Walkways behind Buld 5 and 11 .Pat on Back when deserved Wayne..Now Follow Thru Please...Sooon


Another issue was the $250,000 hit we may take from Fire Dept.... But no blame here as this is a City Hall issue That Anasazi is fighting


But the biggest question came from a Resident who asked about when our last RESERVES AUDIT WAS DONE


The response from Board was not the best,,,They said ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND THIS RESIDENT TOLD THEN IT WAS LAW TO HAVE IT DONE ALREADY!!


They said (The Board) This was something that THEY WOULD DO AND PRESENT COPIES TO US....THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE AND WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO ASK TILL IT IS PROVIDED!

In closing I must say that this was a win for Residents as they came and stood their ground and made sure they were heard and addressed 

RESIDENTS YOU HAVE BONDED ..THIS IS A SIGN WE ARE GETTING SOMEWHAT OF COMMUNITY MORE INVOLVED..DONT FORGET FUTURE ELECTIONS ARE NOT FAR AWAY..

To the many residents that thanked me last nite for writing Blog.. I salute you and thank you. 


I was very proud to be a Resident last nite when I saw how many troops had come to the Residents side and came with complaints and solutions  


Many Complaints about Canadians ?? Dont Understand this one You all act like it is a 3 World Nation, They have been a Great Influx of Fine Folks.....Stop Already!  Shows Ignorance

LAST ..We are becoming a Force to Reckon with...To those new people I gave web address to last nite WELCOME

CONGRATULATIONS! 
WHAT A PLEASURE TO FINALLY SEE POSITIVE RESULTS FROM BOARD MTG. 
I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING RE: WIFI...

GOOD FOR IZZY..HE WAS A WONDERFUL TREASURER FOR MANY YEARS AND KEPT US SOLVENT AND IT DID UPSET ME TO SEE HIM RIDICULED  BECAUSE OF HIS AGING..PERHAPS NOW HE CAN BE SHOWN SOME RESPECT FOR HIS PAST GOOD SERVICE.

 IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT IF THE PRESIDENT MISSES 4 MTGS. HE SHOULD BE DISMISSED..
