Some things to consider on Thursday at Board Meeting
….How about "official" motions for the next Board meeting to modify the by-laws such that at least 4 members, if not all members, have to be residents living at Anasazi at least 8 months each year, and each member can be voted off/replaced every year …. (official means as allowed following the CC&Rs and By-Laws)
This thought can be expanded by additionally considering that:
Board members cannot own more than the property that they personally use as their residence for no less than 8 months each calendar year and shall have no immediate family members that own Anasazi property(ies).
Furthermore a board member, or candidate for board membership, cannot have a spouse, siblings or other relatives that have a vested business interest in Anasazi properties, such as, but not limited to, being a Realtor or other business that offers Anasazi properties for sale, lease or rent.
Any such condition would be a considered a conflict of interest.
That would take care of a several members presently serving on the Board.
For starters, one should (legally) investigate how present of Board members owning several multi Anasazi properties, together with family members as close as a spouse, manage to stay clear of the conflict of interest clause.
If the present By-Laws provide a loophole for this, then it needs to be plugged - no loopholes, no earmarks. We have to enter and participate in the legal processes that the CC&Rs, By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation provides for residents to take action.
Just some ideas off the cuff trying to right the listing ship….

Mr. Webmaster.
Do you know if Birchmore is going to attend the Oct Meeting or is going to be allowed to miss 5 scheduled meetings in a row? Birchmore must be told to step down and be replaced with a Anasazi year around resident as the President.
For the lady asking about cable issues. There are reasons why Yignition and AAM and the current Landscape Company have long contracts with Anasazi.....?????? Ask the Board.
The cable equipment on this property is in the same shape as the plumbing, sewage lines. Old, outdated, breaking, and very expensive to replace or repair. I have been told that other cable providers will not come here because of the old outdated equipment. Direct TV or Dish will work but you need their equipment on your patio pointing South.
This property is in sad shape. Everything gets old and must be torn down, torn out and replaced or maintained on a regular basics. None are being done here at Anasazi. From the lawns to the plumbing, everyday is another SAD ADVENTURE at Anasazi.

Talked with a lady that was renting here for 6 months to decide if she was going to buy here..She said NO the fee's are too high and this place is not as nice as it used to be ??
And you WONDER why their are so many empty units here ?
NO ONE WANTS TO PAY $300.00 HOA FEE TO LIVE IN A APARTMENT COMPLEX
THIS NON RESIDENT BOARD NEEDS TO BE REMOVED..IF NOT ALL YOU NEW OWNERS REALLY GOT SCREWED WITH YOUR INVESTMENT....SO JUST KEEP SITTING IN CHICAGO, CANADA, NEW YORK ETC AND THINK WHEN YOU RETURN ..YOU WILL BE RETURNING TO THE ANASAZI YOU KNEW LAST YEAR

U make this community your home 12 months out of the year and care about how it has been downgraded for the last 15 months by AAM, Wayne and this current do nothing, absentee, geriatric board.
For the above reasons and many others, U must run for a position on the board. U have 90% of this communities respect and backing. If U run
We are in very dangerous time for our country and our community. A change at both levels is a must.
Both cannot continue to go down hill and just become another Community or just another Country.

Now for the Pool # 1 news, We're back to square one, the lights didn't come on until after 8:00 PM last night, guess Wayne didn't like taking instructions. No problem, I don't care anymore.
I don't even know if the Spa and deep end came on.
Some folks like it since they can have fun in the dark. Just wanted you to know.

In all I must say it was one of the better meetings in a while, Not out of hand by any means BUT The residents wanted to be heard and they were.....There was only a couple issues that were negative and have to be addressed first!!
Now That I do agree with him...How come last meeting Brian and Janet said they had no complaints about cleaning crew here??
Bottom line is the Cleaning Service is Sub Par and we are over budget ??? This needs to be stopped ..... Wheres the money going???
2ND Residents NO LONGER NEED PROXY ... BOARD SAYS THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND ALL TENANTS CAN NOW SPEAK
If you do not have the time you said to work on this Board ......YOU SHOULD NOT BE ON IT!
MR BURCHMORE..You are our President and you have not attended the last 4 meetings along with Faye Roberts.. ?? And you dont live here any months ?? Am I the only one seeing this??
This is just more reason why we need to have a majority of Board Members that live on the property.. AND President Must Live Here 8 Months a Year Minimum

The other was the Lady from AAM ..Mary Earnst who wanted to keep the residents from finishing discussing their issues..
SHE WAS PROMPTLY put in her place by a resident! ....My New Hero,,,,,,Name ??
This Resident had a very valid point as to why should we as owners only have 3 Minutes to express our concerns??
We should be heard as we are the residents and should not leave meeting still feeling hungry.?.Cmon lets address it and find a solution!
NOW I must say it was one of the more productive meetings we have had, After the BOARD realized that 20-25 of the 50 people their had legitimate arguments !! And came prepared!
They do deserve credit for sitting back and letting us air our grievances and you all did!
The one thing that I had to address was the serious pool issue...Brian started his speech that he had spoken with 3 residents today
I boldly took the floor and OUR BOARD DID LISTEN , I explained the incidents I had documented and had pictures to prove if needed also..
I was surprised that they finally agreed that we at least start with a Key Change here and also to not issue keys to owners who are delinquent on account..This was a great first stride...We had to push pretty hard..
So again it shows if we all band together we can get RESULTS
Another was the grass to granite creation and I must also say that Wayne was in good form and did listen very attentively to myself and other residents concerns about muddy pathways and has AGREED TO finally fix the problem.. Walkways behind Buld 5 and 11 .Pat on Back when deserved Wayne..Now Follow Thru Please...Sooon
Another issue was the $250,000 hit we may take from Fire Dept.... But no blame here as this is a City Hall issue That Anasazi is fighting
But the biggest question came from a Resident who asked about when our last RESERVES AUDIT WAS DONE
The response from Board was not the best,,,They said ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND THIS RESIDENT TOLD THEN IT WAS LAW TO HAVE IT DONE ALREADY!!
They said (The Board) This was something that THEY WOULD DO AND PRESENT COPIES TO US....THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE AND WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO ASK TILL IT IS PROVIDED!
In closing I must say that this was a win for Residents as they came and stood their ground and made sure they were heard and addressed
RESIDENTS YOU HAVE BONDED ..THIS IS A SIGN WE ARE GETTING SOMEWHAT OF COMMUNITY MORE INVOLVED..DONT FORGET FUTURE ELECTIONS ARE NOT FAR AWAY..

AUGUST BOARD MEETING RESULTS 8/2012
Well it was a Very Very Crowded Board Meeting last evening, and many residents came armed with notepads and had many many questions for Wayne and Board of Directors,
In all I must say it was one of the better meetings in a while, Not out of hand by any means BUT The residents wanted to be heard and they were.....There was only a couple issues that were negative and have to be addressed first!!
BIG ISSUE...And I say we all agreed with Izzy and he was right!! YES He was Right,,,,,He stated our Building Maintenance Budget was over by $15,000 and he was not Happy about it!!
Now That I do agree with him...How come last meeting Brian and Janet said they had no complaints about cleaning crew here??

Come over to pool 5 -
jumpers, throwing rocks in the pool 5:30PM Saturday 7/14/2012
Saturday, 2 teenage kids keep jumping from the waterfalls and throwing flagstone pieces into the pool, using the flagstone pieces to knock on the hollow waterfall structures. There were what seems to be some older couple but they could care less.
Why is there still a question that we need a roaming pool guard - this is ridiculous!

And then we get Pool furniture back and it does not match other furniture...looks like a ghetto mix and matched furniture, umbrella tables lacking paint, Trees not trimmed,muddy pathways and the list continues !!
Mr webmaster I know you are trying to give our office staff a fair shake, But please, even you see the things discussed here.And yet this Board will not recognize any of the residents concerns..I support you citizen patrol 100%

We will be forming a Citizens patrol in this next week, those who may want to walk the grounds about 3pm and 7pm every day... Maybe a few around 11pm..
Great exercise and keep things secure, and a chance for a group of us to get together and yak along the way

The two kids escaped leaving an air horn and cheese snack balls next to the chair used to jump the fence.
The air horn was used as residents living close pool 5 can attest - nobody seemed to care.
The flagstone pieces used by these 2 fellows were retrieved from the bottom of the pool and placed next to the waterfall.
As another witness explained, one of the kids made the escape through jumping from the 2nd floor of the onto the turquoise couch that was put into position by one of the kids.
The HOA may get sued for "providing" such hazardous opportunity in case these kids brake legs or other parts of their body.
Just to add to the discoveries - the pool equipment room for pool 5 was left wide open, no obvious sign of vandalism luckily.
This place is falling apart in many ways - does anybody care?
