Each November, the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce hosts the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts. The event features nearly 500 artists and artisans from around the United States and other countries lining the tree-shaded Avenue of the Fountains. The event attracts an estimated 200,000 visitors from all over the valley who come to appreciate and purchase fine art and enjoy some good food and entertainment.
The artists’ booths are arranged in rows down Avenue of the Fountains, which is closed for the event. Avenue of the Fountains leads radially away from Fountain, so there is always a view down the rows to see the 330 foot tall plume of water the Fountain emits for fifteen minutes at the start of each hour. You will want to bring comfortable walking shoes since there is a LOT of ground to cover with so many exhibits and most visitors also take a walk around the beautiful Fountain Park also. Several musicians and musical groups entertain the crowd at various locations throughout the fair.
Some come to see, some to shop, some to relax.
The Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts is a juried art festival. This means that many more artists apply than are actually permitted to attend. This tends to make the quality of this event higher than many other events that contain mostly touristy knick-knacks. Every artist must re-applies each year to see if they make the cut. You will find a large variety of art at this festival: Pottery, paintings, glass, jewelry, sculpture, textiles, mixed-media, and more.
The Chamber does a fine job coordinating their events, and this event is no exception. Admission is free, there is plenty of free parking, clean restrooms, and a helpful staff to answer your questions. The event occurs rain or shine, although the latter is more likely. Average weather in Fountain Hills in November is generally a beautiful & sunny 75 degrees. Wheelchairs and Scooters are available for rent. The Chamber asks you to please leave your pets at home. Please bring sunscreen and it is recommended to bring bottled water. Don't forget to bring comfortable walking shoes!
Various musical groups provide ambience to the event.
The Festival is the perfect way to spend a beautiful, sunny November day in Fountain Hills. It’s adjacent to the Fountain Park which has walkways, large grassy areas, picnic pavillions, and of course the world-famous Fountain. Purchase some of the delicious food the vendors sell and enjoy it down by the Fountain. The Fountain is operational from 9am to 9pm at the top of every hour for 15 minutes. And don't forget, the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts is the perfect place to shop for holiday gifts!

We ask as a consideration of others, to please leave your pets at home for everyone's safety and enjoyment during the fair!
