The Scottsdale Street Fair’s Grand Opening celebration is Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Pavilions at Talking Stick Shopping Center. This weekly street fair not only will celebrate the character of the neighborhood and its community, it will also bring together many of the regions finest vendors curating fine arts and crafts, home and lifestyle accessories, jewelry, and local business services and offerings. Each week, this event is expected to draw thousands of Valley residents who will be enjoying a day of family fun filled with talented artists, kids zone, a variety of quality food options , live music, and so much more.
Our Grand Opening celebration promises to bring excitement to this weekly event with its live entertainment featuring Lemo performing classics from Caribbean Soca, Calypso and Reggae favorites. Also included in this line up is the captivating duo Johnny & Natalie who bring jazz alive with their renditions of all our old favorites. The kids zone will be a playland of fun including bounce houses, rock climbing walls, face painters and kiddie train. “All That Got Game” sponsored by Troop Fuel, will be seeking out which kids really “got game” with their unlimited play Video Game Truck. Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community Fire Department will be providing free kids car seat safety inspections along with the always popular fire truck on display for all to enjoy! Golo Family Organic Farms is our featured farmers market providing guests with the freshest and healthiest produce. Their farming philosophy is simple: well balanced soil grows strong healthy plants….that’s what makes them a Valley icon in organic farming. For more information, go to www.golofamilyorganicfarms.com. Teaming up with the Scottsdale Designer District, this street fair will be exhibiting emerging fashions from local boutique designers not found in retail stores.
As part of Scottsdale Street Fairs commitment to its community, a charity will be featured and our Grand Opening is no exception. We are proud to announce our charity partner is Team Bemis, providing spiritual, financial and emotional support to Coach Scot Bemis, Notre Dame Prep Academy coach and mentor, and his family as they battle through a very challenging time in their lives. Scot has stage four non-small-cell lung cancer. He’s up against the fight of his life and Team Bemis is fighting for him. For more information on how you can become involved, visit www.teambemis.com.
