3 Woo Hoo's and 1 Booo
1st Woo Hoo- Wayne, Have had to deal with Wayne a few times over the last week with different plumbing issues, All times he was courteous and did have the knowledge of the problem. Thank You ..Starting to get things in order here!
2nd Woo Hoo - Roe Also have had to call Roe during these situations and she also courteous and yesterday when water came through my ceiling and she was coming back from lunch and my Mrs told her of issue she did Run in her heels to the office to contact crew..Thank you also
3rd Woo Hoo - Dan It did not take 3 minutes from the time Roe called Dan to have him at my unit, along with a helper of which I do not know his name, But very nice and well mannered guy, They have started work on holes in ceiling in kitchen and bathroom and want to say thanks for acting so fast. These 2 seemed to work good together so maybe we have the start of building a new permanent crew here....Time will Tell

The Booo - When the water started rushing I called office and it was Roes Lunch hour, So I CALLED the AAM Emergency Line and got a RECORDING?????????
NOW what good is an emergency line if no one answers ??
Dan and crew had arrived by the time they even called back-------STILL NOT SOLD ON AAM AT ALL! But have to say Wayne and Roe have picked up their game ! Now AAM needs to pick up there game.

A year ago the patios were worse than they are this year. They need to have a Patio Clean Up Week !
Wayne has cleaned up and streamline the grounds in preparation for whatever good ideas he has for our future landscaping I am sure.

In 2 weeks new members will be elected to the Board. It seems imperative that we the owners have imput and influence on who we want on the Board!
Almost 50% of the Property Owner here at Anasazi are Canadians! Where on the ballot is the Canadian representation? There is "NO" living on property requirement so Canadians qualify.
Seems all you need is a mailbox here and drive by once or twice a year and you qualify.
This Board is a "Closed Shop" and most are not invited to be a member.
Canadians, stand up and demand representation! You should have at least 2 members on the Board if not 3. Look at the make up of this Board, anything stand out to you??????

The Phoenix Police Officers that work here are doing a stellar job! Ryan and the team care about Community Policing, building Relationships and Partnerships and want to be told if anything illegal is going on on the property.
It would be beneficial if the Police Officers were given more hours not less hours.
PATIOS!!!!! Anasazi is slowly becoming a middle of the road rental complex! Nothing special here anymore that you cannot find at another property. You have everything on Patios including residents drying their laundry from clothes lines hanging across their patios.
Afraid nothing is going to change with the Board! The qualified residents that could make a change and get Anasazi back to where it was a year ago, will not run. There are many qualified residents including you Mr. Webmaster that said "NO" So.....More of the same is coming! Get used to Brian, Faye, Janet, Izzy and Bob leading us down the road to nowhere

Residents of the Venetian Condominiums have recalled four members of their homeowners association board of directors.
Residents of the Venetian Condominiums have recalled four members of their homeowners association board of directors.
Residents voted in an April 20 election to recall board President Anna Leja and members Cindy Antoun, Rick Hayduk and Dave White. Venetian residents Suzanne Mirasola, Walt Schletter, Joe Trednic and Cheryl Bergerbaum were voted in to join Marilyn Pollock and Herb Spohr on the six-member board.
"We want to remove the secrecy that has existed for the last year and have better homeowner communication," Schletter said.
Residents had accused the board of violating state law in postponing an annual election and then a recall election. The board also allegedly wanted to split the central Scottsdale condominium community, which consists of the 104-unit Venetian I and the 160-unit Venetian II. The development is located near Via Linda and Mountain View Road.
"I don't know where it's going to go from here, but hopefully we're trying to bring the community back together," Spohr said.
In the election, held at Mountainside Middle School, unofficial results had more than 50 residents voting to recall the four members, with 25 members voting against the recall. Phoenix-based accounting firm Gaintner Bandler Reed & Peters PLC oversaw the election.
Residents had lodged a litany of complaints against the board.
In February, the board voted to postpone an annual election, causing board member John Simon to resign. On Feb. 23,
Venetian residents submitted a recall petition to the management company, Phoenix-based Associated Property Management. State law stipulates that HOAs must hold recall elections within 30 days of receiving a petition with the signatures of at least 25 percent of residents.
The board pushed the election date to April 20.
Venetian residents enlisted the help of Rep. John Kavanagh, R-Fountain Hills, in confronting the board. In a letter dated April 15, Kavanagh informed the board that they were to follow state law regarding meetings and elections.
"Should the need arise, I am willing to involve the Attorney General's Office, which has already been contacted regarding this situation," Kavanagh wrote.
State lawmakers are looking into the Venetian board situation to make sure members abide by HOA laws, Spohr said.
Last year, the board spent $40,000 on a landscaping presentation from Scottsdale-based Hadley Design Group, detailing $1 million in improvements to Venetian I and Venetian II. Homeowners voiced opposition to the project.
The new board will no longer dive in to expensive improvements, Schletter said.
"We intend to gradually increment landscaping changes rather than go into a million dollars at one time," Schletter said. "We plan to be better stewards."

Today's Comments
On Saturday Night, 2/4/12 around 8:00, went down to BBQ some steaks, heard a commotion by the dumpsters at Bldg 13, noticed 2 legs sticking out of the dumpster, started the BBQ, went over to see what was going on, there was a woman dumpster diving in there. Asked her if she was a resident, she said no, it was none of my business.
Well, that started it off, told her to take a hike, this was a private property, she told me in to bug off (harsher words than this), which I again told her to take off ( harsher words), and she started to leave w/o not telling me to mind my own business. Another resident came by, asked what was going on, explained it to him, and he stated "oh, I thought you knew her"..Should of told him I thought it was his girlfriend...Anyway, no security came by, and I guess he must of called security ( According to another resident who told me the next day), but again, no security.
This was now at 8:20 PM, and she stated that security changes their times to surprise people. Right...So, anyway, be aware that our property is not secure, and watch out for a White Female, about 5'8" tall, wearing beige pants and top. Can't tell you much more than that except she doesn't care what anyone says to her. Just an FYI.

DOOMS DAY??
Well I guess if we can not get the election postponed !! Which is an idea all should be in favor of , If it means we can get a list of full time residents to form a slate here to run.
If not we saddle Brian McBride with a group of unqualified people to try to run a board of a complex of this size...Sounds like a dooms day plan
Cmon people whether you always agree here or not, IT still seems like a LARGE majority of residents have the same legitimate worry, And that is a Board that will raise HOA FEE'S, Not being in step with the times..We neeed to replace some old members here that have no clue its not 1977 anymore
We still Have time to keep budget in sight and also to keep fee's down..
BUT THIS CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH 3 PART TIME RESIDENTS AND A RETIRED STEWARDESS
The Real Estate market is rising in Az every day...LETS NOT BE LEFT BEHIND .....We Need some new members, qualified in the technology, payroll and budgets of the times ..not 20 years ago..Anasazi is becoming more and more younger professional people and many folks from Canada, All who are putting fresh blood and money into our community..
IT IS TIME TO LET SOME NEW QUALIFIED RESIDENTS HAVE A CHANCE TO MOVE US FORWARD.......
Dont be silent at this meeting..it may be your last chance for 4 years.........By then the other properties around us will flourish as we become as stale as the board running it ..Push for an extension for board election ........Thank You M

1st off she used her power as an appointed member of the Board to give her access to all Residents mailing list...
Then she writes a letter to all Residents that we should all VOTE for Izzy and Janet for another term ??? Then it says read attachment but Faye forgot attachment..(Hmmm)
PLEASE FAYE PUT THE WINE AWAY
A person must have an IQ of a rock to try to push this action
These are the 2 we need to get off the Board now and have it done with a NO COMPETENCY VOTE...
They fall asleep at every meeting...Faye quit kissing Janet's ass for appointing you the the Board of which you have no point serving on...You were a Flight Attendant ...go serve Izzy and Janet tea and leave the Business here to people that have the knowledge to protect our investments here
So it is apparent that all emails concerning FAYE are true.. that she is just Janets little assistant

TOO BAD!!!! Its about time someone here had some BALLS and stood up and voiced the truth here and also know its time to break up the clic here of useless Board members.....I also have been given access to the same mailing list and think its time all Residents know about this Blog and some of the BS going on here.And save the time writing me that Im a bully or am off key I own this blog and control its content, Some of you that write me need to give your husbands their pants back..You have wore them long enough..They should be wearing the pants in the family but are not ..Shame !

Committee Here at Anasazi ??
I have had some great input as of late and one is why we don't have an community, This is a very useful way for some of the residents to help and also steer the Board into directions needed here and all work together for a better community...Just a Thought......Your Comments ??
Creating a Committee
To begin the committee selection process, it is advisable to hold an open meeting describing the types of committees available and their purpose. In order to guide each committee, a board member should hold the committee liaison position - - thus, serving in an advisory role to the committee. It is recommended that the Board promote social events for general membership and to build a sense of neighborhood and community involvement. It is also advisable to focus on the special interests of different age levels, as capturing the interest of one segment of the community often draws others.
Getting Started
Once committees get started on their assignment, one can encourage greater community participation by holding public meetings that are posted well in advance. Encourage volunteers, recognize them and reward them whenever possible. In order to accomplish this task, it will take participation from board members, the manager, and homeowners alike. It will also take some active marketing and promotion by everyone else involved in association affairs. Since a portion of what the association must do every day is viewed by some as negative, there should be a focus on the many positive aspects of living in and being a member of a community association.
When a board has a strong committee structure, it can save the association a wealth of time. Instead of requiring that the board as a whole be an expert on every issue, directors can delegate areas of research and responsibility to appropriate committees. During tenure as a board member, one should expect to serve on at least one committee as well. This is a very important responsibility. Committees do much of the legwork and much of the consensus building that helps a board make good decisions. Remember: C ommittees are time-savers. Board members should not undermine their efforts by insisting on retracing whatever path the committee members took to reach their decision!
Committee Reporting
To help ensure that the board will focus on the result of the committees' efforts (and not on the process by which they reached their conclusion) consider using a basic committee report form. Such a document is easily created and gives the board the information it needs to act on a committee recommendation without a prolonged discussion of the committee's work.
The committee chairperson is usually charged with completing the report form and giving it to the property manager, who then includes it with the agenda packet for the next board meeting. Board members read the report, have the chance to ask any questions before the meeting, and are ready to vote when the item comes up! What a way to spread the workload while accomplishing more than ever!

looking at all some of the posts with members on the board, to me it seems that Brian may be the best person to handle a lot of the problems facing the board, Number one he's younger and knows the changes that are needed, Number two he's not a puppet that jumps when asked we Need more members Like BRIAN.

Note from Webmaster...Seems we have 3 out of 4 candidates that are not what we seeek..You all have a voice... I believe comment from JD is credible we hold off election a month and give us ample time to put up a good slate of candidates we deserve it...Or is the Board going to bully us into taking more people that are not even here year round to run our everyday lives.. Ridiculous.....

Just a note here to fill you all in on a truth...FAYE is JANET Fritiners protege and Good old Buddy and you all need to realize she will vote with her old cronies...Wake up if this is the only candidates we have to pick from ..Maybe we ought to hold election a bit later and get some full time residents to step up and lets fix this mess our board is in..FAYE was appointed by Janet...Mr Webmaster I think they ought to appoint you or at least put your name on the ballot..There are many many here who support your courage and ambition to make this the place it was years ago Thanks J.D.

2. With all your Business, Management, Computer, Budgeting and Payroll experience, you are a perfect candidate for the Board Position.
3. I feel you would put the Owner/Residents concerns first.
4. The ballot does not have a line for write in candidates! Will the Board add a line for write in candidates?

We need to put a "Support the Webmaster" rally together.....soon!

We need people on the board that are about ACTION,
Not some retired people who think the board is a hobby or power trip here in the community

No part time residents, No inexperienced applicants, and No one just using Anasazi as a income source to futher their business interests in this community ie: Realators and Insurance Salemen!
Faye. Please withdraw you name for consideration. You have no experience to do this job and the last thing this community needs is another inexperienced yes person on the board.
The whole board needs to be replaced! Filling open position with the same old, tired, people will not move this community forward.
